By using the geodateo.com web site and the provided Map builder of geodateo.com ("geodateo", "we", "our" or "us"), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms of service. These Terms of Service affect your legal rights and obligations. If you do not agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Service, do not access or use the Service. You expressly understand and agree that geodateo shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if geodateo has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from your use of the Service or third-party products that access data via the Service.

Account Terms

You must be a human and you must not create Accounts with the Service through unauthorized means, including but not limited to, by using an automated device, script, bot, spider, crawler or scraper. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and secure. Geodateo has a strict password policy, to ensure your chosen password is strong enough. You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws, rules and regulations in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright or trademark laws).

Website language

The website is available in French and English.

Geodateo Service

Geodateo allows you to quickly generate interactive and scalable geographic maps for your website. The Geodateo service is accessible from any modern web browser: Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Use of the most recent version of the browser is recommended. Geodateo recommends using the Chrome browser. Any map generated by the map generator is made accessible via a single link, easily embeddable in an iFrame. The cards are designed to adapt to the type of hardware: computer, tablet, smartphone, and support any type of modern web browser.


Five plans are available: free : trial paid by subscription : basic, basic+, premium, premium+

trial plan

The Trial Plan is completely free. You may use the service for test purposes, without being initially registered. You get the possibility to generate a single map, with the whole access to geodateo features. To save your map, created under this trial plan, a geodateo account is required. No credit card is required to sign up for a geodateo account. The following information is requested when creating the account: - name, - first name, - organization, - e-mail address (used as account identifier) - secure password. The email address is verified by sending a link used to validate the creation of the account. The purpose of our Free Plan is to facilitate integration of geodateo maps without the customer incurring any costs during integration. The whole features are available within this plan. You can work on 20 draft maps. Your maps are displayed with a special background watermark : "TEST MAP" (EN) or "CARTE DE TEST" (FR). With this trial plan, a unique map, among your set of maps, can be be assigned a permalink, for tests purposes. Your map is then "published". We mean by publishing the possibility to embedd your map as iframe, in the Web page of your choice, using the unique link provided. This map will be displayed with a special background watermark : "UNLICENSED". Your draft maps and your publihed map are available at any time from your geodateo account, and may be updated using the Map builder.

basic plan

When subscribed to this plan, you have the possibility to publish a unique map among your saved maps. Being a subscriber, your published map will no more present a watermark: the "UNLICENSED" label disappears from the map. Unpublished maps remain displayed with a special background watermark : "TEST MAP" (EN) or "CARTE DE TEST" (FR). In this plan, a label "powered by geodateo" is added on all your draft maps and your published map.

basic+ plan

When subscribed to this plan, you benefit from all the features of the basic plan. In addition to that, the label "powered by geodateo" is removed on all your maps. This makes it possible to use geodateo in "white label", that is to say that the mark geodateo, your partner, does not appear on your maps.

premium plan

When subscribing to this plan, you have the possibility to publish up to 5 maps among your saved maps. That's to say up to 5 different maps can be published in your web sites, without any "UNLICENSED" watermark. In this plan, a label "powered by geodateo" will be added on all your draft maps and your published maps.

premium+ plan

When subscribed to this plan, you benefit from all the features of the premium plan. In addition to that, the label "powered by geodateo" is removed on all your maps.

The steps for paying a subscription

Payment for the service is made via the Stripe platform, the leading secure payment platform on the market. Subscription is only possible for a user authenticated on the geodateo site: the prior creation of a geodateo account is therefore necessary. When taking out a subscription via the "Rates" page, "Subscribe" button: The user is redirected to the secure Stripe payment portal. He enters the information necessary for the payment of the subscription: - E-mail, - billing address, - credit card information. He proceeds to the payment. Depending on the type of bank card used, a verification code issued by the issuer's bank may be necessary to finalize the payment. The debit of the amount corresponding to the chosen subscription (monthly or annual term) is immediate. By subscribing, the user accepts recurring payment of the same amount on a monthly or annual basis depending on the payment formula chosen. Once the subscription has been paid, the user is redirected to the geodateo site, where he can take advantage of the license he has just acquired.

Billing follow-up

From the "my account" page, the user can access the Customer Billing portal, via a private and protected link. He can : - follow the billing history, - upgrade or downgrade their plan, - update their payment method, - cancel their subscription.


The Service is billed in advance on a monthly basis. A reduction close to 25% is applied in the event of the choice of payment once a year.

Upgrading and Downgrading Terms

You may upgrade or downgrade in plan level at any time. The change of plan takes effect immediately. For changes at the plan level, we will: - Prorate the time remaining on the existing plan and issue a possible credit, - Allocate the new plan on a pro rata basis until the end date of the current billing cycle and invoice this amount.


You have the option at any time to cancel your subscription to your plan. In the event of cancellation of your subscription, its renewal is canceled, the current due date remains due. There is no refund in proportion to the end date of the current term. The subscription remains active for the time remaining before the plan expires. After canceling, customers can still renew subscriptions until the billing period ends.

Discount code

If you have such a code, the application of a reduction code is possible when paying for the subscription.

Account closure

The geodateo solution is non-binding. You can close your geodateo account at any time. The request to close the account must be made by contacting geodateo on the contact email. Closing the account consists of: - terminating your current subscription. In accordance with the cancellation policy described above, the current billing cycle remains due. - the permanent deletion of your maps made via the service, and therefore the deactivation of permanent links to your maps, - the definitive deletion of access to the service (deletion of your user account). Any account closure is effective once the sums possibly due have been fully paid.

Cloud Storage

Your maps are stored on the geodateo servers. The maps datasources used to generate maps are stored on our servers also. geodateo uses the provider 1 & 1 Ionos for the hosting of its website and the Service. The servers are physically located on the German territory.

Technologies evolution

Geodateo maps are designed to work on all device formats: desktop, laptop, smartphone, tablet. Geodateo, as far as possible, will automatically adapt your maps to stay functional: - in the event of software development imposed by new technological and / or software constraints, - with the very latest technologies or third party libraries.

General Conditions

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. You understand that geodateo uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Service. We reserve the right to refuse access to the Service to anyone for any reason at any time. You must not change, modify, adapt or alter the Service or change, modify or alter another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with the Service. You must not interfere or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, including by transmitting any worms, viruses, spyware, malware or any other content of a destructive or disruptive nature. You may not inject content or code or otherwise alter or interfere with the way any geodateo.ciom page is rendered or displayed in a user's browser or device. We may, but have no obligation to, remove Content and Accounts containing Content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable or violates any party's intellectual property or these Terms of Service.

Site Terms of Use Modifications

geodateo may revise these terms of use for its website at any time without notice. By using this websiteand the Service, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.

Governing Laws
